North-East Regional Development Agency

North-East RDA is a NGO of public utility established in 1999 on the basis of Law for Regional Development in Romania with the purpose to implement regional development policy in North-East Region (statistic unit-NUTS II level), today with 143 employees engaged in the following activity fields:

  • design in public consultation regional development plans: 7 strategic exercises developed for feeding National Development Plan and generate support for Regional Development Programs (Phare ESC, Governmental Programs and Regional Operational Program);
  • design of regional innovation strategy, regional action plan for VET & for Tourism;
  • implementing Authority for Phare ESC Programs (1998-2006);
  • Intermediate Body for Regional Operational Program and Competitiveness and Economic Growth Program for 2007-2013;
  • 15 years of experience with technical assistance for public authorities & potential applicants in private sector for project development, implementation and monitoring;
  • 6 years of information and communication activities on European themes through the North-East EUROPE DIRECT Centre.
  • Human resources training and research in regional development sector through the Regional Studies Center since 2010.
